The UMW eagle pointed the way at the start
of the 13.1-mile inaugural U.S. Marine Corps
Historic Half Marathon in Fredericksburg in
May. As part of a “Centennial Relay” of 13
UMW-associated runners, the eagle mascot,
wearing bib No. 100, also finished the final
tenth-mile of the course.
